A plan can save your life.
Leaving an abusive relationship can be dangerous, but planning ahead can make it safer. Advocates can help you create a safety plan that covers home, work, and online life.
Common steps include
- Identifying quick exits
- Keeping a “go bag” with important items
- Creating a code word for children or neighbors to signal danger
- Adjusting daily routines, phone privacy settings, or social media use as needed
Even small steps can make a big difference.
Emergency Assistance
If you ever feel unsafe or are in immediate danger on post, call DSN 911 from a military phone or 0503-764-5911 from a cell phone.
Off post in Korea, dial 112 for police or 119 for fire and medical emergencies.
