Haeinsa Temple, famous for its three temples in Korea, was founded in the Silla Dynasty in 802 and has Hapcheon Haeinsa Daejanggyeongpanjeon Hall, designated as a national treasure, and Hapcheon Haeinsa Seokjo Buddha statue, which was designated as a treasure.
In 2003, the Pyeongyang city battle set of the movie "Taegeukgi" was produced, and Hapcheon-gun created a video theme park (film, drama, and CF filming site) in earnest as many tourists visited after the movie was successful.
