Cherry blossom Tour (Gyeongju)

Did you know that there are several types of cherry blossoms? Gyeongju city is famous for “Double Cherry blossoms”. This flower, which can be seen a little later than usual cherry blossoms, you can enjoy the passing spring once more!

Historic Areas. Cafes and restaurants in the street are designed inspired from han-ok, Korea traditional house. Hwangridan-gil itself is a wonderful place where you can see the past and the present.

Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond was the secondary palace site which was used by the crown prince of the Silla Kingdom. It also served as a banquet site for important national events and important visitors. In the 1980s, a pottery fragment with letters “Wolji” (a pond that reflects the moon) carved onto it was found, revealing the true name of the pond.

According to records, Woljeonggyo was originally built during the 19th year reign of King Gyeongdeok, the 35th King of Silla. However, it was destroyed and what was left was just the stonework of the original bridge. After the bridge was re-constructed into what it looks like now. Woljeong Bridge is most attractive in the evening when the colorful lights are turned on.
